Hello, I bought last week the newest version of PHPMaker and I use a VM to run Windows to use it.So, my feature request is to it be compatible with Wine.
Hi, I’ve been trying to run phpmaker on Linux using Wine for a long time (since phpmaker 8). Some combinations of wine and phpmaker versions work better than others. But not good enough to work fine.My latest tests were with phpmaker 2021.0.15 and Wine 6.0 (with CrossOver 21). This combination does not work at all.My feature request is that phpmaker can be run with Wine. I’m sure there’s a lot of devs using Linux and being forced to use a VM for phpmaker. IÂ want to stop using a windows VM for this. Thanks
Even better would be native operation on Linux. This might be challenging as I think PHPMaker currently uses Windows-exclusive dependencies. How about reworking PHPMaker into a PHP application itself? To clarify, PHPMaker would run on a server as a PHP application which can (still) generate other PHP applications.PHPMaker devs are clearly very gifted with Windows development . . . but ALSO with PHP. Why not leverage the PHP ability into a truly platform agnostic product?
+1 for both
