Is it possible to have the sidebar menu + a column for advanced search bar + a column for the list results?
Would have to be a custom template, right?
How could I “call” the advanced search and the results?

You need to customize template for such case, because Custom Templates does not support to change the layout just like you want. Please read “Custom Templates” topic from PHPMaker Help menu for more info and example.
