does not start on new laptop (v2020)

Hello, phpmaker hasn’t started on my new laptop for a few days. phpmaker is visible in the task manager. Reinstalling phpmaker did not fix the problem. Does anyone know a solution? Greetings Stefan

Make sure you have installed all the system requirements and you have used Windows Update to update your new PC.

I check my WINDOWS 10 Professional system and I have installed:

  • NET Framework: 4.8.04084
  • PHP-Version: 7.4.29
  • Composer: 2.3.5 (new installed)
  • Node.js: v16.15.0 (new installed)

PHPMaker doesn’t start still.Greetings Stefan

Try to uninstall, and then re-install again. Make sure you have right-clicked on the .exe file, and choose Run as administrator.

  1. I deinstall phpmaker.
  2. I restart the pc
  3. I stopped mcafee endpoint security firewall
  4. I install as administrator phpmkr_2020-0-16.exe (Installation makes no problems)
  5. I try to start phpmaker: same result: I see phpmaker in the taskmanager (128,1 MB). But the program don’t start.

Are you sure the installer file is downloaded from the official website of PHPMaker?

How about to install the latest version, as of today is v2022?

Also update your Office 365, read https://discourse.hkvstore.com/t/phpmaker-not-starting-after-office-update-v2020/4620/1

my old laptop is running the same MS Office 365 version as my new laptop
Version: 2108 (14326.20962)

Make sure you install .NET Framework 4.x Developer Pack, not Runtime.

After the last BIOS - Update: phpmaker starts now!
