when I generat script ,I get this massage " The path is not of a legal form ".
Make sure that you generate to a valid folder. Check your Generate → Project Folder setting.
I generate to a valid folder.
I did not find solution.
I google “The path is not of a legal form” and find that it is C# error message, it probably means a path your specified is not valid. If it is not the project folder, you should double check other paths (which are relative to the project folder), e.g. file upload paths, especially if your “.” or “…”. If your project file is a network path (not physical path on your PC), you better double check and test with a normal path. Using a mapped drive for a network path may be better.
Hi Friends,
Today, when I tried to generate my project file I saw the following error message. I did NOT make any change on my OS/Project.
ERROR: “the path is not of a legal form”.
I tested the generation process using the default template shipped with PHPMaker. NO ANY ERROR.
I extracted the default template (php20200.zip), renamed it, and zipped it without any change. I received the error again?!
I reinstalled my zip utility (powerarchiver) and also tested with winzip. I see the error again?!!!
I reinstalled the PHPMaker but the problem exists.
It seems the problem is related to my OS?!
any idea and fix?
thanks
Mansour
From the help file:
When you zip the template files, make sure you zip the files and subfolders in the unzipped folder, not the unzipped folder itself. Otherwise there will be one level different.
Hi,
Yes, I did that. I have no any problem until yesterday. NO any change in my project, OS or ZIP utility.
Thanks
Hi,
I installed a fresh version of phpmaker 2020 on another system, updated the template to the last version and used my own customized template. THERE IS NO ANY PROBLEM!!
It seems the problem is related to OS (windows 10) and possibly .NET FRAMEWORK!
any idea and fix? How to completely remove phpmaker and it’s related files from my computer and reinstall it again.
What about the registry keys?
thanks

Make sure you are using the latest version of .Net Framework.
