Lack of lookup permission not affecting list and view pages

I noticed that the lookup permission is essential to be granted only to populate drop down menus (in edit tag) by values from Lookup1. Even if I don’t give any permission to a user on a lookup table, he’ll still be able to see corresponding values from that lookup table in the list and view pages. Is this an intentional behavior please?

That is an interesting point. Currently the permission only affects edit tags. Maybe the development team of ASP.NET Maker will think about it in later versions?
