License Registration Problem (v2019)

Hello,

A few weeks ago I got a license problem with PHPmaker. I still use an older version of PHPmaker (2019). I don’t want/I can’t upgrade because of my own libraries (compatible issues). I use a (virtual) Win 10 pro.

When I start the application, I get a screen to register PHPmaker. (Invalid license key). When I run as admin and enter the key it is accepted. But when I exit the application and restart the key is invalid again.

Any suggestions ?

Try disabling Windows Fast Startup if you are using a virtual machine.

I have the same issue with PHPMaker 2020. I followed your suggestions, but unfortunately, the issue persists.

same with me. also turned off fast startup but no change. (I use VMware virtual machine).
I can re-register, but after program stop and start en license issue is there again (sometimes)

I have no issues with my other VMware machines but only with the PHPmaker license.
From this VM (Windows 10) I can access the internet without problems.

Is the issue with VM only? If possible, try with an actual Windows machine. Also check your active version with sales. If you upgraded to > v2019 before, your active license may not be v2019.

I don't know if it's related to the VM. PHPMaker 2019 only runs on a Windows 10 machine, while my main workstation is Windows 11, which is why I'm using a VM.

It has been running without any licensing issues for over five years. Moving it to another physical Windows 10 machine isn't easy because I no longer have the original installation media.

My guess is that it's either a registry issue or that HKV has changed something on their licensing servers. I also don't know whether the license is validated periodically over the internet or only during activation.

Have you tried installing PHPMaker 2019 in Windows 11?

v2019 should also run on Windows 11, you might just have some system problems, see if this is relevant: PHPMaker not starting after Office update (<= v2020). Avoid using virtual machine.
