was using the user table “UserLevelID” method of assigning multiple groups, thought we’d take User Level Hierarchy for a test drive
created a group “Reports” which has about 7 reports selected ion it with list, search, export
assigned it (Reports 230) to the other main level user roles (admin 210, editor 220, viewer 225)
kind of works.. displays the reports menu item and a single group with one item only displayed on the menu.

no console errors, re-checked the group and there are 7 items selected all the same as that “user groups listing” entry
is there something else that needs to be setup? - using dynamic levels, and that UserLevelID field us still varchar()… not sure if we should change it back to INT.

It should work. Please make sure that you are using the latest version and 2025.12 and have updated to the latest template.
For debugging, also read:
You may run Security()->showUserLevelInfo() in any page and check the info shown in the Debug bar . (Make sure you enable Debug first.) You’ll see info like:
AdvancedSecurity::UserLevel: ...
AdvancedSecurity::UserLevelPriv: ...
AdvancedSecurity::currentUserLevelID(): ...
AdvancedSecurity::userLevelList(): ...
The AdvancedSecurity::userLevelList() should show all the user levels that the user has.
All those items are in the same group “reports” 230, it is showing the correct entries
Show your user level settings and User Level / Hierarchy field values.
looks like phpMaker fixed the issue with the last template update. all the report items are now visible as a Hierarchy assignment
