WebView2 can't read and write to its data directory

v2026, off to a good start:

i have v2025 installed, there was no phpmaker2026 folder created.

also had to move the test project file to the temp directory:

one drive is not installed nor used, as v2025 works no problems with the project file in same location

  1. Make sure you have read/write permissions (and permissions to create folder, if the folder does not exists, try create it yourself) to the C:\Users\peter\Documents folder. (In other words, make sure you login as "peter".)
  2. You may change the folder to to any other folder that you have read/write permissions by the advanced setting WebView2 user data folder.
